The Past
Growing up, creativity has been an integral part of my life. From
woodworking, ceramics, digital photography, to decorative painting, my
projects have been a reflection of who I am.
My work and talent that has progressed and improved is in direct
relationship with the integrity and determination of effort I've put behind it.
The Training
Training in the field of decorative painting began years ago with an apprenticeship
with a local master artisan. The finishes produced and finely executed became a
inspiration for me to take upon myself more training than the current occupation had
available.
Much of my appreciation for this craft came as a student of a prestigious Master
Artisan in the "Faux Capital of the World", Las Vegas. There I was brought up on the
current trends and the cutting edge of products available. Part of this training was in
the emphasis of knowledge for using different mediums to my advantage, rather
than blindly following a set of instructions for each finish. Thus, it led me to become
a professional decorative painter rather than merely being an applicator.
Since then, I have participated on projects all around the valley and commissioned
to work out of town.
One of the great advantages I have had in my life was to study this craft on a global
scale. Europe has been an enormous wealth of knowledge from London, Brussels,
Germany, and Italy.
My own work has led me to move foreword by using mediums and techniques of
past and proven finishes, but so utilizing them in an entirely different way that will
ultimately lead to stunning finishes of tomorrow.
Along with my skills in this field, I also have an Associates in Science with an
emphasis in Chemistry and working towards a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering
from ASU.
The Pledge
The commitment to making you satisfied with your living space is unparalleled. The
passion that exists to breathe life into a room with the right decorative effects will be
just what it takes to please the eye.
There is constant research and experimentation underway to create the current
trends and tastes of tomorrow.
